Wyith authourised to conduct recognized technical certificate course in China Dongguan

Hongkong - February 24, 2000 - Wyith Incorporated is proud to
announce that it has gained authorization from the China Dongguan Liao Bu County
Education Bureau as well as the management board of Liao Bu Middle School to
start offering Wyith Incorporated's Certificate Programme in Applied Computer Studies
to senior graduates of Liao Bu Middle School.
The certificate course aims to produce graduates with a sound knowledge of the
fundamental concepts of computing and webmastering and with the intellectual and practical
skills to enable them to make a creative contribution to the application of
computers and associated technology in the information-processing activities
of a business computing environment. Graduates will be sensitised to the human
aspects of computer applications and prepared for continued personal development
as the discipline, the environment and the role of the computer professional
evolve. Graduates should also be able to contribute to the overall development
of the profession and of China.
"This is the first time the Chinese Government allows a Hongkong company to
participate directly in the intellectual education and development of
students in China." said Dr Raymond Cheng, Managing Director
of Wyith Incorporated. "We are very happy to be allowed to get involved
because we understand that we are not alone and that only by conducting
suitable and in-depth enough courses for the new generation
could we not only be able to contribute economically but also socially to China."

In the context of the Internet industry's needs, the graduate
will have demonstrated the following :
- a knowledge of the structure of typical business organisations and their operations;
- a knowledge of the functions of computer hardware and software;
- the ability to understand and interpret the requirements of an
organisation in terms of its needs for information as a corporate resource;
- the ability to identify and specify reliable, cost-effective
information-processing systems which meet organisational needs
and which exploit the benefits of current information technology;
- the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, at
the level of competence required of an Internet professional;
- the ability to plan and implement an information-processing system project;
- the ability to sustain personal effort, whether working alone or as a
member of a team, and to develop the skills needed to work
effectively within a team.
The course lasts for six months and is open to matriculated graduates
of Liao Bu Middle School.
