Wyith and the Rotary Club of Sunrise Peninsula to launch non-profit educational portal, onlinelesson.net

Hongkong - September 26, 2000 - Wyith Incorporated and Rotary Club of Peninsula Sunrise is pleased to announce the launch of the non-profit education portal, OnlineLesson.NET, for students in China, specifically in the region of Guangdong Dongguan, hoping to bring a new learning experience to students, vocational opportunities to adults and professional training certification to corporate computer users in the region.

"There is a tremendous thirst for technology education and computer courses in China, and OnlineLesson.NET is designed to satisfy this need. The site not only provides course materials to students, but Wyith also provides on-site lectures to students in Dongguan, Guangdong Province." said Dr Raymond Cheng, Managing Director of Wyith Incorporated.

"This is also a major step, and in fact, an official step for Wyith to be formally involved in the education work in China." Dr Cheng continued. "Establishing business relationships in China is simply a matter of time and money, but establishing a real social tool in a socialist society is extremely difficult. One has to understand how important 'word-of-mouth' is in a developing country like China. It is a must if one intends to develop an effective promotional channel in China."

"After all, 'word-of-mouth' promotion, when officially endorsed, is even more effective than buying expensive television advertisements." Dr Cheng added.

Dr Cheng further explained, "The Dongguan Liaobu Government Publicity and Education Office is the government department that endorses, supports and oversees this project. And the name of this office explains everything."

"Wyith has also been sponsoring similar courses organized by the Rotary Club of Peninsula Sunrise since last year and we are trying to expand it by re-launching the course online and doing it with more formality. We hope that the course can reach a bit futher, i.e. not only to students and teachers, but also to corporate computer users in Dongguan. We at Wyith do hope that the portal, together with our 2 previously launched portals, www.Socialism.org (for politics) and www.adc.org.hk (for arts), will make a good pair and become an official source of information for secondary school students during their compulsory politics and arts lessons; hence, perfecting a major part of our business model." onlinelesson.net is a non-profit education portal fully endorsed and supported by the Dongguan Liaobu Government Publicity and Education Office. The project was first launched with the Certificate in Applied Computer Studies for LiaoBu Middle School matriculation graduates with an intake of 60 in 1999-2000. The intake for the course will be increased to 300 for the academic year 2000-2001 and is expected to reach 1,000 by 2002.

The onlinelesson.net project has its own distinctive web address www.onlinelesson.net
